The goal for the Japanese Ministry is to reach out, especially to Japanese and those who are interested in Japan in the greater Washington DC area, with the purpose of sharing faith in Christ and growing together through worship, ministry, evangelism, discipleship, and fellowship.
Nick Nishio, pastor
At the age of 21, I came to the United States to attend college in Portland Oregon. I knocked on the door of the Japanese International Baptist Church because I had a great concern for the future. I came to know Christ and accepted Him as my Savior soon after I started going to the church in 1987. I graduated from Portland Bible College in 1998 and got ordained in the same church and served as a youth/music pastor. I met my lovely wife, Sachi in church and got married in 1999. In the summer of 2010 we moved from Oregon to Maryland to start a God's new work.
